"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances"
-William Shakespeare, As you Like it
Theater is one of the deepest forms of personal expression. The study of theater not only gives a student the ability to inhabit different people, time periods and circumstances, it also gives the participant several opportunities to become accustomed to public speaking and gain self-confidence.
Theater is a great encourager. It promotes creativity, responsibility and the value of research. In developing a character, the actor makes educated choices about their performance from the script. They must be responsible to learn their lines and blocking so that during a performance the magic of the stage can take hold and not “oh no, what’s my line!"
Not only does theater help with memorization but studies show that those who participate in theater tend to have higher academic performances in school and better standardized test scores.
Teamwork is a major component as well. Theater is about the ensemble and every person in a show contributes to that. Theater isn’t just for the outgoing. It gives those with less self-confidence the chance to have a voice and find their inner strength.
Infuzion offers a superior choice for theater studies because it offers complete music and dance programs.
Infuzion is a unique environment where full music and dance programs are awaiting our students. We understand the needs of a growing artist and can offer support as well as performance opportunities.
Those interested in musical theater have access to voice and dance faculty as well as straight (non-musical) theater.
The program is developed for those 8 years to adult. Classes are built on collegiate theatrical concepts and are adapted depending on the age of the students in the class. We believe that children should be given real theater tools to navigate scenes, songs, and plays, not just theater games and staging.
