Keely's “beautiful and angelic” soprano boasts equal skill in classical music and musical theater. A transplant to the Triangle, Keely originally hails from Tifton, Georgia and holds a Performance Certificate in Musical Theater from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City, as well as a B.A. in Classical Voice from Valdosta State University. Keely has studied and performed everything from Operetta to Rock Opera and has played lead roles in a myriad of professional theatrical productions. Keely spent the summer of 2011 in Baltimore, performing as the title role in Seymour Barab's Little Red Riding Hood and also as Second Lady in the Magic Flute and Frasquita in Carmen through the Baltimore Summer Opera Workshop. Keely performed in five shows at Snow Camp Outdoor Theater in Snow Camp, North Carolina, and in Durham Savoyard’s production of The Mikado where her portrayal of Yum-Yum displayed her vocal ability and comedic timing at its best. Favorite musical theater roles include Nannette in No, No Nannette, Luisa in The Fantasticks, Catherine in Pippin, and the title role of Carrie in Carrie: The Musical.
