Music Recitals

MUSIC - RECITALS

Students are encouraged to participate in recitals and performances offered throughout the year. This is a great way to build confidence while learning how to prepare effectively for a performance. All recitals are free for participants and attendees. Most of all, recitals are not too long and feature an interesting variety of styles and performers.

Performance spots for music students are open on a first-come, first-served basis. Music students that are interested in performing should ask their teacher or someone at the front desk for a recital form. If there is more than one recital date and time, please indicate which recital session is preferred on the recital registration form.

2011 WINTER MUSIC RECITAL

When: Saturday, December 3rd at 4:00 PM

From Points South and West of Durham:
US 15-501 North merges with I-85 and US 70 West. Stay right and take the very next exit (Exit 174). At the top of the exit ramp, turn left onto Hillandale Road. Travel past Loehmann's Plaza Shopping Center to the next traffic light. Turn left onto Carver Street. See * below for continuation of instructions.

OR

Traveling west of I-40, turn right onto the Durham Freeway (Hwy. 147 North). After about 15 miles, take Exit 15B and turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto Hillandale Road. Drive 3 miles, passing over I-85 and continue to the next traffic light. Turn left onto Carver Street. See * below for continuation of instructions.

From Points North and East of Durham:
I-85 South, US 15-501 South, and US 70 West, merge north of Durham. At exit 174, turn right onto Hillandale Road. Travel past Loehmann's Plaza Shopping Center to the next traffic light. Turn left onto Carver Street. See * below for continuation of instructions.

* Once on Carver Street, drive to the third street on the right, Croasdaile Farm Parkway, and turn right. Proceed about 0.7 miles and turn right at the third street, Wesley Chapel Drive. Follow the signs to Village Commons or to Heritage Hall. There is a U-shaped drive in front of Heritage Hall. You may park anywhere you find a space. Ponder Auditorium is located inside Heritage Hall. Please check in at the reception desk for information and to sign in.
To do: Students must submit their completed recital registration form at the reception desk no later than one month before the recital is scheduled. Please be sure to indicate the day and time of the recital if there is more than one from which to choose. Download the registration form.
