Our History
Miriam Catron founded Infuzion, originally known as Joyful Noise, in 1997 when she was still attending college. Shortly after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill, Miriam found that the Triangle lacked a place where students could receive high-quality music instruction on any instrument they chose. Armed with a desire to have the best music school in the Triangle, she hired several other university-trained instructors to teach piano, clarinet, and trumpet. Within less than a year, what began as her private studio of only about 45 students grew to well over 200! Thanks to superior instruction and service, Infuzion has the opportunity to serve several hundred clients every week.
Music instruction was not Miriam’s only aspiration. Having been a college athlete, she wanted to develop a fitness center that worked efficiently without the inherently unfair long-term contracts and other major problems associated with most gyms. Ultimately, Miriam wanted to create a place where everyone could get the best experience in arts instruction and fitness. This dream became reality in the spring of 2007, when the studio expanded to over 12,000 square feet to incorporate dance studios, fitness center, and Taekwondo studio. Visit Infuzion to experience superior instruction, customer service, and facilities. We look forward to serving you!
