This is a critical question that depends on the child’s ability to focus and on the physical strength and size they posses. Most music lessons are at least 30 minutes and require the student’s full attention for maximum benefit. It is best to delay music lessons until the child is able to focus on a task for at least this minimal amount of time. Of equal importance is the child’s ability to actually handle their chosen instrument. For example, it is extremely difficult for very young children to play the guitar, as the hand muscles are not sufficiently developed or strong enough to hold down the strings against the fret board. For these reasons, the recommended ages vary by instrument, as indicated on the chart shown below. Finally, it is best to introduce young musicians to music lessons when they are least likely to be frustrated by mental or physical limitations. It would be a shame to risk any disillusionment they might experience.

Our smaller class sizes allow students to get more individual instruction from teachers, and as a result progress at a faster level than in a large class environment. Our smaller class sizes also ensure that the teacher can catch any problems before they turn into bad habits or improper techniques.
A floating dance floor is comprised of high-density foam blocks sandwiched between sheets of maple flooring. The result is a slight spring to the floor, where the foam blocks absorb the shock and impact or regular dance movement. This benefits students by reducing fatigue and preventing injury that can result from dancing on hard surfaces. Floating floors are a rarity among dance studios, chiefly due to the expense. Infuzion features floating floors in every dance studio.
Children as young as five may begin Taekwondo instruction. The most critical factor for success is whether the child is able to focus and obey simple instructions. Most training sessions are at about an hour. Some portions of this time are dedicated to learning specific movements and following commands. As such, a student’s full attention and cooperation are required for their safety and benefit.
Taekwondo requires commitment on the student’s part. Yes, children often change their minds. Especially when they realize that learning a martial art is work. Infuzion is interested in training students that have a genuine interest in Taekwondo and are not just being dropped of by parents seeking a 45-60 minute babysitting service. Without such a commitment some will enroll for a month or two and then leave. New students require the most attention from instructors during these initial months. It is unfair to the students who are determined to progress. Such a policy reduces those who are not serious about training. There are numerous benefits to Taekwondo, and while commitment is only one of them, it is perhaps the most important one.
Parents are discouraged from sitting in the martial arts rooms, as this distracts the students’ attention. What parent doesn’t want to cheer their child’s efforts, but even minor distractions can be potentially dangerous to students and instructors. There is ample space for viewing training from outside the room itself. However, parents are encouraged to attend belt testing.
Belt tests are conducted every three to four months. While some martial arts studios conduct belt tests monthly, this doesn’t provide adequate time for students to properly master the required techniques. While monthly belt testing may earn a studio more money, the student does not benefit. This is apparent at martial arts tournaments, where all major aspects of martial arts training are compared between different schools.
We allow clients from 18 years of age to workout. The safety and comfort of each client is critically important. Individuals under 18 years of age are not allowed to enter the fitness facility. Safety requirements are meant to protect both clients and children alike.
Yes, personal trainers are definitely available and recommended. The best way to achieve your fitness goals is to have a workout routine designed specifically for you. Please visit the reception desk for more information about the studio’s personal trainers. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own trusted personal trainer with you.
Contracts are not required. In fact, contracts are unnecessary for any fitness center that is truly there for your benefit. We’ve gotten burned by long-term gym contracts and wouldn’t wish them on any of our clients. When you decide to quit, simply cancel your membership!
Most gyms have introductory rates to get you in the door. Through tricks and high-pressure marketing tactics, trial members sign contracts. Before long, the monthly teaser rate expires and you’re stuck with a gym membership that costs you three to four times what you were originally willing to pay. Infuzion will not increase your rates. In fact, the only rate increases are to adjust for inflation every three or more years. Why play nasty tricks? This only makes customers unwilling to come back or spread their friends and family about their great experiences.
Some gyms in the area have matched Infuzion’s rates, but only allow you to workout on two days of the week! We have no such limitations and welcome you to workout anytime during our business hours. Pay less and come as often as you like. Unlike most gyms, we want you to benefit from your membership and are always happy to see you.
