Instructors

Juanita, a native Texan, studied ballet and tap as a youngster and classical and contemporary piano throughout high school. After moving to Durham to pursue divinity studies at Duke Divinity School, Juanita trained to participate in a local triathlon and later decided to pursue other fitness activities. After attending her first line dance class, she discovered her niche and immediately took steps to pursue becoming an instructor.
By combining elements of dance with Motown and R&B music, Juanita promotes wellness throughout the Triangle with her innovative urban/soul line dance classes. Juanita is focused on bringing innovative line dance instructors to the area in order to inform, promote, and strengthen the local line dance community.
As an educator and discipleship leader, Juanita believes in the concept of engaging and entertaining in order to educate, so her classes are fun and relaxing.

My name is Gaby Zinn. I am originally from Mexico City, Mexico, but have been living in North Carolina for the past eight years. Dancing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have practiced and instructed Mexican folkloric dance, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Cheerleading and Salsa. I became interested in Zumba® in 2009, and received my Zumba® certification in May of 2010. I have been teaching ever since. My style of teaching is all about high energy and having fun. When I teach, my goal is for people to feel the music and let loose, without being overly concerned about whether they are doing it right or wrong. Zumba® is for everyone, and I really love to see people enjoy themselves as they dance and workout. I love life, and I do my best to enjoy every minute of it. My greatest love is for my husband and my two daughters.
