Dance Recommended Attire

DANCE - RECOMMENDED ATTIRE

BALLET

  • CREATIVE MOVEMENT – Any dance clothing in which your child is able to move freely
  • PRE-BALLET 1 – Pink leotard with pink tights, pink skirt and pink shoes (laces tucked in) and hair pulled back from face
  • PRE-BALLET 2 – Pink leotard with pink tights, black skirt and pink shoes (laces tucked in) and hair pulled back from face
  • BEGINNING BALLET – Light blue leotard with pink tights, pink skirt, and pink shoes (laces tucked in) and hair pulled back from face
  • BALLET 1 – Light blue leotard with pink tights and pink shoes (laces tucked in) and hair pulled back into a bun
  • BALLET 2 – Royal blue leotard with pink tights and pink shoes (laces tucked in) and hair pulled back into a bun
  • BALLET 3 – Navy blue leotard with pink tights and pink shoes (laces tucked in) and hair pulled back into a bun
  • BALLET 4 and 5 – Black leotard with pink tights and pink shoes (laces tucked in) and hair pulled back into a bun

Note: Attire for boys for all but creative movement is tight-fitting black bottoms (shorts or pants or tights) and a white top (tank or t-shirt). Boys are also asked to wear either black ballet slippers or black socks.

JAZZ & TAP

  • JAZZ & TAP 1 – Light blue leotard with black bottoms (tights, shorts or pants) over leotard with either black jazz shoes or bare feet and flat tap shoes without ribbons
  • JAZZ & TAP 2 – Royal blue leotard with black bottoms (tights, shorts or pants) over leotard with either black jazz shoes or bare feet and flat tap shoes without ribbons
  • JAZZ & TAP 3 – Navy blue leotard with black bottoms (tights, shorts or pants) over leotard with either black jazz shoes or bare feet and flat tap shoes without ribbons
  • JAZZ & TAP 4 and 5 – Black leotard with black bottoms (tights, shorts or pants) over leotard with either black jazz shoes or bare feet and flat tap shoes without ribbons

Note: Attire for boys is a white top (t-shirt or tank) and black bottoms with shoes as specified above.

HIP HOP

All hip hop students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers in which they can move freely. Please no jeans or skirts.
